Moirang to Delhi march ready

Shillong, August 14 : The Moirang (in Manipur) to Delhi March of the Azad Hind Fauj volunteers scheduled from August 25 received a further boost from the people of Shillong. The 15 member team from the North East will march to Delhi in an expedition to from the Union Government to make public the Manoj Mukherjee Commission Report on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose death.

The expedition will cover eight North Eastern states of India and will organise meetings in over 50 places before handing over the memorandum to President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

In support of the Moirang to Delhi expedition that goes along with the Netaji famous cry “Delhi Chalo”, Greater Shillong Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Birthday Celebrations Committee (GSNSCBBCC) will not only sponsor two members of the expedition, but has also been mobilizing the public for support .

Speaking to newsmen in Shillong on Wednesday, general secretary of the (GSNSCBBCC) Naba Bhattacharjee said, “We are extending all our support to the Delhi expedition because we are also convinced that there is a conspiracy that led to the disappearance of Netaji”. Claiming that the Mukherji Commission conclusively revealed that there was no air crash in Taiwan six months before and after the date of the air crash as claimed by the government, Bhattacharjee said, “These are canards that need to be dumped and therefore it is imperative for the Government of India to make the report public”.

Echoing the Azad Hind Fauj volunteers' opinion that Netaji never died in the air crash, general secretary of the Greater Shillong Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Birthday Celebrations Committee (GSNSCBBCC) Mr Naba Bhattacharjee said, “Netaji then said my own country men wanted to kill me but I am very much alive”, while questioning the government's logic of concealing the reports.

“The Commission Report should be placed in Parliament to clear the false propaganda that Netaji died in the air crash”, asserted Bhattacharjee.
