I just finished watching the unreleased(?) “The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior”. The lead actress, Karen David, looked cool and great. And I just found out that she is a Shillong-born Indian! She is both an actress and singer-songwriter.

David was born in Shillong, Meghalaya, India, and raised in Toronto, Canada before moving to London to study at the Guildford School of Acting. She subsequently appeared in the original cast of Mamma Mia! and worked with Indian composer A.R. Rahman in developing material for Bombay Dreams. David has also appeared in several feature films including Flight of Fury and The Colour of Magic, and currently appears as the female lead in The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior.
