A month has passed since the unfortunate incident that took place in the heart of Imphal on June 23 in which a pregnant woman Raveena was killed before the very eyes of her kid while Manipur police commandos allegedly staged a fake encounter. Floral tributes to the two departed souls were paid at the residence of Raveena and Ch. Sanjit who were killed on June 23. People adorning traditional attire came out to take part in the tribute. It may be mentioned here that Manipur has been witnessing various forms of stir against the indifferent attitude of the government. Meanwhile, the state government is trying to subdue the vociferous protests by clamping curfew and coming down heavily upon the protestors.
