NDFB-Ranjan observes raising day

emand for a separate tribal state comes up again as NDFB observed its 23 rd Raising Day in Assam on Saturday where a large attended function in Udalguri was participated by leaders of five other tribal bodies. Twenty three years have passed since NDFB was floated. The Boro rebel outfit observed its 23 rd raising day on Saturday. The Boro rebel outfit now in ceasefire organized a function at the designated camp of its the first battalion in Udalguri which was was attended by several leaders pf five tribal organizations. They include All Rabha Students Union president Tankeswar Rabha, All Koch Rajbanshi Students Union president Biswajit Ray, Al Deori Students Union president Bhramon Baglaryalong with the leaders of the newly floated UDPF leaders. Backed by these organizations, the NDFB leaders raised the demand of a separate tribal state. In his speech NDFB general secretary Govinda Basumatary explained why and how they have struck peace deal with the Centre. He further said the result of the recent round of talk was positive. It may be recalled that this is the first pubic meeting of the pro talk Boro rebel outfit after the expulsion of Ranjan Daimary where thousands of people attended.
