ive members of a family were killed and three others injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned near Eighth mile in West Sikkim, police said on Wednesday.
The mishap took place when the driver lost control of the ill-fated vehicle which then crashed down several hundred
meters below killing the five on the spot yesterday.
Miraculously, a three year-old boy survived unscathed, the police said.
The dead were identified as Bir Bahadur Shankar, Harka Bahadur Shankar, Tara Devi Lamichaney, Lok Nath Lamichaney and Pushpa Maya.
The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, the police added.
