Malda (WB), Dec 8 (PTI) A West Bengal minister has compared the functioning of the Left Front government with that of Mohammad Bin Tughlaq, the 14th century Sultan of Delhi known for his whimsical decisions.
"The government is being run like that of Mohammad Bin Tughlaq.... There is no unity or coordination among the ministers and everybody is doing what he likes. There is no collective responsibility," Fisheries Minister Kiranmoy Nanda told a Bengali tv channel.
An MLA from East Midnapore district where Nandigram is located, Nanda is a leader of the West Bengal Socialist Party, a constituent of the Left Front having four MLAs.
He alleged Left Front was following the culture of Congress that would yield no political dividend.
"These days the ministers are touring the districts and holding meetings.
